Sven's trip to Romania started in the little town of Govora, in the foot hills of Romania's amazing mountains. While he was here he tried to find out something interesting about the town, but it turned out to be one of the less interesting places Sven has been on his travels. Luckily Sven was there with friends so he could always find something to do. Sven thinks that it just goes to show that even the most uninspiring place can be a lot of fun with the right company.

As Sven and his friends moved north from Govora the scenery started to get really impressive. Sven had never been anywhere before with such big and pointy mountains, although he wasn't too sure about the Bears and Wolves which were supposed to live in them.

One thing that Sven noticed, apart from the cold, was that none of the Romanians he met looked particularly like Vampires, but he kept his eye on them just in case. With Bears, Wolves and Vampires, Sven was not at all sure he had come to a very well chosen Ostrich holiday destination.

Safe from the Bears and Wolves having passed over the mountains Sven headed off in search of something much more interesting, Vampires. He could think of no better place to start than the famous Bran Castle, also popularly known as 'Castle Dracula'. As Sven approached the massive walls of the castle, he hoped that Dracula wouldn't be too interested in a little Ostrich, but just in case he sent his friends in first.

Once he knew it was safe, Sven set about exploring the Castle. There was some really cool stuff there, like the little statue of the miserable looking monk. and loads of very gothic looking pots and things.

Sven had a look in several little rooms in the Castle, but could find no trace of the Count. Unfortunately he later found out that it was all a myth and the person on who the Dracula stories were based, a leader called Vlad, never actually stayed there.
