The Ashmolean Museum,
Oxford.

The Ashmolean Museum in Oxford contains one of the oldest Egyptological collections in the UK, with the first items arriving in 1683.

The Egyptian collection is housed in three rooms on the groung floor of the museum. There are an amazing array of objects on display in this relatively small space with display cabinets overflowing with amazing things, all of which are labelled to expalin what they are and where they came from.

Among the most famous items on display are some paintings from Akhetaten, the complete burial of Djeddjehuttefankh (shown here) and the Early Dynastic Scorpion and Narmer maceheads.
